Artifact Description

A personalised wax seal is the perfect choice for anyone with a romantic soul who feels slightly out of step with the modern world, with its constant rush and the fading ritual of writing letters. It captures the magic of that moment when our thoughts are set down on paper, sealed in an envelope and awaiting that final ‘approval’. Ideally, something unique, a mark that is ours alone. And this is where we come in with our range of personalised letterhead sizes, where we can choose a small header, just for a playful symbol we adore, and it doesn’t really bother us that no one else gets it. Or a sophisticated 4- or even 5-centimetre stamp, perfect for displaying a detailed emblem that will work a treat on grand, important occasions… or perhaps we simply want to stand out a little, because who says we can’t? We can also engrave the stamp handle, transforming it into a unique piece, just for the recipient.

A technical aside.
Although engraving technology is advanced, it is not capable of reproducing extremely fine lines. This is simply because, for a line to be visible in wax (a very dense substance), it must be ‘enclosed’ by walls that form its boundaries. And this requires space ‘around it’; it follows, therefore, that if we want a very precise design, we need a larger seal head, although some of the lines (particularly thin ones) cannot be produced, due both to the engraving process and the physical properties of the wax itself.
To assist our collectors, we will process the file in a specialised manner so that it captures the spirit of the design as faithfully as possible. We will also send the modified design to the client for approval, along with the parameters used.

Unlike standard products, presentation is not a secondary consideration here. Each head and handle can be matched to the chosen packaging — from basic options (in keeping with the ‘it’s just for me anyway’ principle) to elegant wooden boxes that we have selected specifically to please the eye, both our own and that of the recipient. Beyond the aesthetic appeal of these boxes, we have ensured that they can also serve other purposes, such as a box for our treasures or a memory chest for memories.

At the collector’s request, hand engraving is also available.

The aim is not the packaging itself, but the overall effect.
